ArchBishop Don Okafor trained as an economist and statistician began his call to the ministry in 1999 when he founded Divine Touch (Deliverance) Ministries Botswana in Southern Africa. It was a small beginning, in the heart of the capital city of Gaborone, pastoring a small congregation of four members. Within three months, the number grew beyond one hundred and fifty, with two other branches within the country.In 2001 another branch was opened in Amsterdam- the Netherlands and yokes were broken and to God be the glory.In 2003, God moved ArchBishop Don Okafor to Aberdeen, Scotland - United Kingdom, because of the need for deliverance.And as God planned it, Divine Touch Ministries Worldwide was incorporated on 31st January 2005. And since then, God has raised ArchBishop Don Okafor in the area of Deliverance to change people’s lives. In 2009, another branch was opened in Montgomery, Alabama- USA, because of prayer, healing, and deliverance.
ArchBishop Don Okafor has traveled around the globe as a result of deliverance. Together with his wonderful wife, Pastor Bernadette, he oversees Divine Touch Ministries Worldwide in Botswana-Southern Africa, Amsterdam-Netherlands, Aberdeen-Scotland, and Montgomery, Alabama- USA.Apart from operating in the fivefold ministries, Bishop Donatus Okafor operates in healing with signs following. He is an author, renowned conference speaker and an expounded preacher.Due to enormous work ArchBishop Don Okafor has done since 2009, Divine Touch Ministries Worldwide took a higher dimension.
In 2012 the Episcopal Fellowship of Bishops through connecting the body of Christ fellowship Inc. consecrated Dr. Donatus Okafor as an Episcopal Bishop.In the same year, the State of Alabama House of Representative honored ArchBishop Don Okafor for good work.Subsequently the City of Montgomery, Alabama honored ArchBishop Don Okafor for an outstanding work in the City of Montgomery by presenting him with both certificates and corporate plaques. The City of Montgomery, Alabama also honored Bishop Okafor with 2014 Church Support Award.Based on the above, therefore the ‘Global Directory of WHO IS WHO honored Bishop Okafor as a LIFETIME MEMBER in her organization.ArchBishop Don Okafor is the author of Deliverance for the Saved and he is married to the amazing woman of God, Pastor Bernadette Okafor.
